Somers White is the founding President of the current chapter of the Arizona Institute of Management Consultants.
Background:
With degrees from Amherst College and the Harvard Business School, Somers started on Wall Street with the Executive Training Program at Chase Bank. His fantastic success in sales catapulted him to becoming, at that time, the Youngest Bank President in the world, without nepotism.
A former Arizona State Senator and past President of the Phoenix Society of Financial Analysts, he has served on the faculty of Arizona State University teaching credit courses in both Management and Finance. Somers is a past officer and Director of BOTH Phoenix Advertising Club; Phoenix Sales and Marketing Executives. He has served as a Director of three different banks and the National Speakers Association (NSA). He was the first American to receive the NSA International Award.
Somers is a member of the Rotary Phoenix 100, English Speaking Union, Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, Circumnavigator’s Club and the Arizona Society of Association Executives. He is a past member of the Paradise Valley Country Club and the Phoenix County Club. He has authored over 400 professional articles, 20 cassette courses, and had his own radio interview show “Business and Politics” and on an ABC affiliate.
In a cover story, Sharing Ideas Magazine, him as its first “Consummate Professional Speaker”. The next year the award was given to William Buckley, followed by Margaret Thatcher. Somers has spoken for over a thousand trade and professional associations and companies such as IBM, Shell, Merrill Lynch, Eli Lilly, Hilton, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Chevron, HP, etc.
