Lisa J. Koss specializes in supporting global leaders to overcome the challenges and leverage the opportunities of their global and culturally diverse organizations around the world.
Consulting to and coaching leaders since 1992, Lisa clients range across sectors and include manufacturing, business-service organizations, technology and mission-oriented organizations. Her areas of focus include leadership development and organizational change initiatives.
Lisa was recently the lead organizational consultant and executive coach (facilitating in Spanish and English) for a 12 month project for a global electronic parts giant. Her results with the team included the elevated satisfaction in 75 percent of 34 surveyed areas, lowered occurrence of quality issues by 50 percent which increased profits by 49%. The team also earned Best in Class award for Most Improved Quality among 65 worldwide plants and was awarded the Sonora Industry Honor, acknowledging the "Best Place to Work" in Sonora by the Sonora Chamber of Commerce.
She speaks Spanish, French, English and basic Russian.
She served as president of the Arizona Chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants from 2005-2007. During this period the chapter moved from struggling to the number one chapter in the U.S. for retention and growth among 27 other chapters. She has since been invited to be part of a task force in setting strategy on a national level.
Lisa is currently a PhD candidate in Human and Organizational Development at Fielding Graduate University. She also completed the post-graduate programs including the International Gestalt Coaching Program (ICF certified) in 2008 and the International Organizational Systems and Development Program in 2006, both through the Gestalt OSD Center. She also completed executive education programs at Harvard Law School and at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. In 1997 she completed her M.A. in the field of training and development from the University of S. Mississippi, at their Mexico campus, and her B.A. in International Relations in 1991 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also studied at prestigious educational institutions in Paris, France; San Jose, Costa Rica and Saint Petersburg, Russia.
In 2007, Lisa earned her Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) designation – which measures consulting competency and ethical judgment -- through the Institute of Management Consultants USA, the highest accreditation awarded in the management consulting profession.
